i just watched the city fall
and crumble into
a smoldering pile
of decay and morbid
tides
now i watch ford street
wither and waste
away as the
shores break until
someone steals a simple
breath
for another day
for some to save
a city
broken
and hollow
battered and empty
just another shell
of
a civalization
that once was triumphant
and no is
erased
no one knows
just way the waves
will split the docks
carry away
a simple dream of
a city life
that will never
make a river
